Legal framework on promoting circular economy -international experiences and implications for Vietnam

Abstract
This study presents lessons on building and improving the legal framework regulating circular economies by systematizing the theoretical basis and legal policies of some countries in the world. The study’s findings show that most of the countries that pioneered the implementation of the circular economy and built the appropriate legal framework have made a strong breakthrough in their sustainable development strategies. This is an extremely valuable lesson for Vietnam. By suggesting some lessons, the study has practical implications for building a legal framework to promote the circular economy in the context of deepening climate change and increasing the inadequacies of the linear economy.
