Abstract

Enforcing and ensuring gender equality between men and women is not a new issue. Countries around the world have constantly ensured gender equality between men and women in social relations, and one of the most important issues is ensuring women’s political participation rights. Vietnam has promulgated policies and laws to ensure the political participation rights of women. Besides the achievements, there are also challenges and obstacles in the enforcement process of these policies and laws. This study analyzes the impact of economic factors on women’s political participation rights in some countries. Based on the study’s findings, some solutions are proposed to enhance women’s political participation rights in Vietnam.
