Some limitations in the regulations under the criminal procedure code 2015 (amended and supplemented in 2021) for defendants under 18 years old

Abstract
People under the age of 18 committing crimes are very vulnerable to physical and mental harm. Therefore, the Criminal Procedure Code 2015 (amended and supplemented in 2021) has a separate chapter on procedural procedures for minors. It proves the concern and humanitarian policy of the Government of Vietnam for people under 18 years old. However, current regulations for defendants under the age of 18 still have some limitations and shortcomings. This paper analyzes some limitations in the Criminal Procedure Code 2015’s regulations for defendants under 18 years old. The paper also proposes some solutions to improve these regulations.
