An analysis of legal provisions of curent land prices for calculating compensation for land acquisition and some recommendations to improve these provisions

Since the promulgation of the Law on Land 2013 and its guiding documents, policies on economic issues relating to land, land price, compensation, support and resettlement for land acquisition have had positive changes. Besides achieved encouraging results, the works of compensation, support and resettlement for land acquisition still have shortcomings. This paper analyzes the current legal provisions of land prices which are used to calculate compensation for land acquisition, and makes some recommendations to improve these provisions.
