The Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) conceptualises rapid change to technology, industries, and societal patterns and processes including the dispute resolution process. The dispute resolution process is happening more commonly on online platforms. This change have created a new online dispute resolution mechanism - online arbitration. This paper presents the understanding of online arbitration and its characteristics. The paper also identifies the legal basis for the dispute resolution process by using online arbitration.
