Digital transformation of logistics in Vietnam amid the growth of e-commerce

This study analyzes three core paradoxes in Vietnam’s logistics infrastructure amid the growth of e-commerce: imbalances in the warehousing system, high last-mile delivery costs in rural areas, and the gap between infrastructure investment and multimodal connectivity capacity. It also assesses the impact of the new legal framework, particularly E-Commerce Law No. 122/2025/QH15, and technology models currently being deployed to address last-mile delivery challenges. Based on this analysis, the study proposes several solutions to narrow the gap between the rapid growth of e-commerce and the capacity of logistics infrastructure to respond effectively.
