Assessing the impact of the merger of Ninh Thuan Province into Khanh Hoa Province on local economic development

This study provides a preliminary assessment of the impact of the merger of Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces into the new Khanh Hoa Province on local economic development by analyzing indicators related to economic scale, investment, tourism, energy, and agriculture. Descriptive statistical and comparative methods are employed to evaluate economic performance during the initial stage of policy implementation. The findings indicate that the merger has expanded the economic space, strengthened regional linkages, and created favorable conditions for attracting investment in tourism, renewable energy, logistics, and the marine economy. At the same time, the process has generated several challenges, including changes in the administrative management structure and the need to harmonize development planning.
