ChatGPT and independent English learning among students in the High-Quality Program at National Economics University

As demand for knowledge and language proficiency grows, learners are increasingly using artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support independent foreign language study. This study examines how students in the High-Quality Program at National Economics University use ChatGPT to develop their English self-learning competence. It assesses the current state of that competence, analyzes the benefits and limitations of ChatGPT as a tool for self-directed learning, and proposes ways to strengthen students’ ability to learn English independently.
