Modeling the effects of team psychological factors on employees’ digital performance in universities

Abstract

This study synthesizes the theoretical foundations and proposes a research model examining the effects of team psychological factors on employees’ digital performance in universities. Based on a literature review, the study proposes that team psychological factors, including team cohesion, interaction quality, team support, and team trust, influence employees’ digital performance through the mediating role of psychological empowerment. The proposed framework contributes to the theoretical understanding of the relationships among team psychological factors, psychological empowerment, and digital performance, while also providing managerial implications for improving employees’ digital performance in the context of digital transformation in higher education. In addition, the findings provide a basis for university administrators to foster a collaborative working environment, strengthen employees’ psychological empowerment, and enhance the digital performance of university staff.
