The impact of artificial intelligence-based customer experience (AI-CX) on online retail brand equity in Vietnam

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of artificial intelligence-based customer experience (AI-CX) on the brand equity of online retail enterprises in Vietnam. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 318 consumers shopping on Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada, and Tiki and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results confirm that all four AI-CX dimensions: personalization, intelligent interaction, convenience and speed, and data security, positively affect the components of brand equity, including brand awareness, perceived quality, and brand associations, thereby strengthening brand loyalty (R² = 58.2%). Based on these findings, the study proposes managerial solutions for online retailers to support the sustainable development of digital commerce.
