The rapid growth of social media has led to an increasing number of children becoming influential content creators, creating new legal challenges for protecting children’s rights and interests. This study clarifies the concept and legal characteristics of kid influencers and analyzes major risks arising from their commercial activities in the digital environment, including violations of privacy and personal data, labor exploitation, and the economic use of children’s images and identities. Based on an examination of current Vietnamese law, the study assesses existing protection mechanisms and identifies regulatory gaps concerning this emerging group. It proposes recommendations to improve the legal framework, clarify children’s legal status in influencer activities, strengthen safeguards for privacy and economic interests, and better protect the lawful rights and interests of children in the digital economy.
