Practice of implementing procedures for the distribution of inherited estates under intestate succession law in Long Truong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, and recommendations

This study examines the practical implementation of procedures for distributing inherited estates under intestate succession law in Long Truong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, by comparing current legal provisions with actual practice. The findings show that the process continues to face difficulties in identifying heirs, determining inherited estates, completing documentation, and carrying out relevant procedures. These shortcomings may prolong case resolution, generate disputes, or prevent completion of estate distribution. Practical data also indicate a rising number of inheritance-related files and disputes in the locality. Based on the identified problems, the study proposes recommendations to improve Vietnamese inheritance law, enhance procedural transparency, strengthen mechanisms for notifying heirs, and improve the effectiveness of intestate estate distribution in practice.
