Upgrading ERP systems in the context of corporate restructuring: A strategic agility and digital innovation perspective

Abstract

This paper analyzes the ERP system upgrade process in the context of corporate restructuring, changes in business models, and adjustments to governance structures. The study employs a qualitative case study approach and expert interviews. The findings indicate that an ERP upgrade is not merely a technological change but also an expression of strategic agility and digital innovation capability. Based on the research findings, the author proposes managerial implications for ERP upgrade projects implemented in the context of corporate restructuring.
