Sử dụng hiệu quả ngôn ngữ mẹ đẻ trong việc giảng dạy ngoại ngữ - tiếng Anh

Quan điểm về việc sử dụng tiếng mẹ đẻ (L1) trong giảng dạy ở lớp học ngoại ngữ - tiếng Anh vẫn đang là nội dung gây nhiều tranh luận. Sử dụng hay không sử dụng còn phụ thuộc vào rất nhiều yếu tố khác nhau, như: mục tiêu chương trình, kết quả học tập mong muốn, bối cảnh dạy - học,… Chúng ta cần một nguyên tắc chung, có tính khái quát hơn để từ đó giáo viên có thể áp dụng L1 sao cho phù hợp với từng trình độ người học, từng lớp học ở những bối cảnh cụ thể. Bài viết này nêu ra các kết luận nghiên cứu từ các tác giả cho rằng tiếng mẹ đẻ có lợi trong việc giảng dạy ngoại ngữ, đồng thời gợi ý các kỹ thuật sử dụng hiệu quả L1 trong lớp học.
