The conversion of multi-member limited liability companies into joint-stock comapnies under Vietnam’s laws

Abstract
The conversion of status of companies is one of the important contents of the company’s re-organization. The fact shows that the number of companies which are converted from multi-member limited liability companies into joint-stock comapnies accounts for the majority of conversion cases. Joint-stock company is also the most popular form of business organization in Vietnam.
This paper analyzes the 2020 Law on Enterprise’s povisions of coverting a multi-member limited liability company into a joint-stock company. The paper also makes some recommendations to improve these povisions based on the practical requirements of this conversion.
