The current situation of the Law on State Budget in Vietnam

Abstract
The Law on State Budget was passed by the National Assembly of Vietnam on June 25, 2015 and it took effect on January 1, 2017. The law’s enforcement has achieved many important results, consolidating and enhancing the position and role of the state budget and finance work, contributing to ensuring the national defense, security, foreign affairs, and economic development, and timely handling of urgent arising issues. However, the law still has certain shortcomings that need to be amended and supplemented to improve its effectiveness and efficiency, and to further improve the country’s system of financial mechanism and policies.
