Published: July 30, 2026
Abstract
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) in general and the CISG's provisions on the obligations of the parties in an international contract of sale in particular are always important fundamentals that traders can apply when they perform their contracts or dispute settlement agencies can use to determine the scope of rights and obligations of the parties in disputes related to the international sale of goods contract. By analyzing the CISG's provisions on the obligations of the seller and some related disputes, this paper draws some notes and recommendations for Vietnamese businesses when applying the CISG.
