Antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory activities of isolated fractions from Bungarus fasciatus venom distributed at Dong Tam - Tien Giang

Abstract
There are many studies on the components and biological activities of the venom of some snake species. The results show that, snake venom has many important pharmacological effects such as hypotensive, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anticoagulant, and especially it has the effect of preventing the growth of cancer cells very effectively. The venoms of snakes from Elapidae family have been reported to induce anti - nociception and anti-inflammation through their toxins acting on the nervous system. In this study, it was found that crude venom and fractions isolated from the venom of Bungarus fasciatus (Elapidae) collected from Dong Tam - Tien Giang had good analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects at dose 0,34 mg/kg.
