Nghiên cứu nhằm kiểm định tác động của trí tuệ cảm xúc đến hiệu quả công việc thông qua vai trò trung gian của sự cân bằng giữa công việc và cuộc sống. Căn cứ vào tổng quan lý thuyết và các nghiên cứu trước, mô hình nghiên cứu đã được phát triển cho nghiên cứu này. Mô hình này đã được kiểm tra với cỡ mẫu 327 nhân viên tuyến đầu đang làm việc tại các ngân hàng thương mại cổ phần tại TP. Hồ Chí Minh. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, trí tuệ cảm xúc tác động trực tiếp đến hiệu quả công việc. Bên cạnh đó, mối quan hệ này được trung gian một phần bởi sự cân bằng giữa công việc và cuộc sống. Trên cơ sở các kết quả nghiên cứu, nghiên cứu đã đề xuất một số hàm ý quản trị quan trọng cho các ngân hàng thương mại cổ phần, đặc biệt là trong việc phát triển và nâng cao trí tuệ cảm xúc cho nhân viên tuyến đầu, cũng như xây dựng các chính sách hỗ trợ nhằm thúc đẩy sự cân bằng giữa công việc và cuộc sống.
