Abstract
Vietnam’s economy is undergoing digital transformation, but there is still a lack of linkages and integration between the notary database and databases of related sectors and professions. In addition, the database of property transactions and the information system serving notarial practice organizations remain incomplete. This paper analyzes: (i) the practical application of digital transformation in notarial activities in several countries around the world; (ii) lessons learned for Vietnam regarding digital transformation in notarial activities; and (iii) the inevitability of digital transformation in notarial activities in Vietnam. The analyses and recommendations presented in this paper aim to improve legal regulations on digital transformation in notarial activities, thereby facilitating information verification and the notarization of contracts and transactions requested by organizations and individuals.
