Completing Vietnam's Labor Regulations on Informal Labor

Abstract
Informal work has appeared very early in countries around the world, typically in Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In Vietnam, informal work has emerged and developed in recent years. Vietnam’s laws have not yet had a separate legal framework to regulate informal jobs. This paper analyzes (i) the legal status of informal labor and (ii) recommendations to improve legal regulations for informal workers. Some recommendations are presented in order to improve regulations on informal labor, thereby ensuring jobs for workers.
