Protecting the Rights to Inviolability of the Body, to the Protection by Law of Health, Honor and Dignity of Ethnic Minority Children

The 2016 Law on Children and other legal documents within Vietnam's legal system contain provisions aimed at ensuring the safety, health, honor, and dignity of children. However, the practical implementation of these provisions has revealed several shortcomings. Specifically, in ethnic minority areas, legal regulations often lack practical applicability, exacerbated by challenges related to geography, socio-economic conditions, transportation, and limited access to information for children and local communities. These factors hinder the effective protection of the rights of ethnic minority children. This study analyzes the current state of safeguarding the safety, health, honor, and dignity of ethnic minority children, identifies gaps in the existing legal framework, and proposes solutions to improve the effectiveness of these protections.
