Abstract
The National Assembly is the highest representative body of the people, the highest organization of state power in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Supreme supervision over the operation of the state is one of the constitutional rights of the National Assembly. This paper analyzes the development and improvement of regulations on the National Assembly’s supervision function in recent years. This paper also points out the urgent requirement for a systematic and comprehensive study and assessment of the legal system under the National Assembly’s supervision function. The paper proposes specific solutions to improve the effectiveness of related regulations to meet the requirements of building a socialist rule-of-law state in Vietnam in the new period.
