Analyzing the efficiency of large-scale rice field model in Binh Tan district, Vinh Long province

This study evaluates the efficiency of the large-scale rice field model in Binh Tan district, Vinh Long province. The study finds that the production efficiency is impacted by many input factors such as the cost of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, labor costs, etc. In addition, the Tobit regression model’s results show that the factors of production area, origin of rice seed, and linkage of farming households have positive correlations with the large-scale rice field model’s production efficiency. Based on the study’s findings, some solutions are proposed to improve the production efficiency and the lives of farmers in the coming years.
