Experience of Singapore in developing small and medium-sized enterprises

Abstract
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in economic growth. SMEs create jobs, facilitate entrepreneurship, and promote innovation, greatly contributing to the growth of GDP and exports, regional development, and the economy’s adaptability. To promote the development and contribution of SMEs, it is essential to implement comprehensive supporting policies related to development plans, capital, training, and networking. This study analyzes the policies that have been implemented to support the growth of SMEs and enhance their role in Singapore's economic growth, then draws valuable lessons for Vietnam. This study is expected to help Vietnam accelerate the development of SMEs and facilitate their contribution to national economic development in the coming years.
