75. Analyzing and Isolating Pathogenic Fungi on Dragon Fruit Grown in Cho Gao District, Tien Giang Province (Hylocereus undatus Haw.) After Harvest

Abstract

In this study, five strains of pathogenic fungi are selected from dragon fruit samples collected from orchards in Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province. These strains have two specific symptoms on dragon fruit after harvest, including mushy rot (TN1 and TN2) and non-mushy rot (TKN1, TKN2, and TKN3). The study analyzes the gene sequences to the species level of Fusarium equiseti - a fungal strain with a high pathogenicity rate during the study’s experiments. The study also successfully tests the antagonistic ability of antagonistic bacterial strains isolated and stored at Tien Giang University with pathogenic fungal strains under in vitro conditions.
