Impact of ESG scores on firm value: Evidence from companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange

Abstract
This study analyzes the relationship between environmental, social, and governance (ESG) scores and firm value among companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE). The research sample comprises 74 companies in the VN100 Index listed on HOSE during the 2019 - 2024 period. The feasible generalized least squares (FGLS) model was employed to address heteroskedasticity and autocorrelation in the research model. The results indicate that ESG scores have a positive effect on firm value. Based on these findings, the study proposes several recommendations to enhance the transparency of ESG information disclosure among companies listed on HoSE.
