38. Factors Affecting the Intention to Use IoT in E-Payment in Vietnam: A Case Study of QR Code

Abstract

Many new technologies have been developed in the context of Industry 4.0, includingthe Internet of Things (IoT). In Vietnam, IoT is mainly used in the smart home and payment fields. This study is to analyze the intention to use QR code in e-payment as QR code is identified an IoT device and Vietnam has great potential for the development of e-payment. This study determines the factors affecting the intention to use QR code in e-payment in Vietnam, then evaluate the usage of IoT in Vietnam. The study’s data is collected from 409 samples of Gen Z customers living in Ho Chi Minh City over the period from September 2022 to October 2022. Exploratory factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis are employed with SPSS Statistics software. The study finds out that the factor of Trust has the strongest impact on the attitude.
