Unemployment insurance regulations in Vietnam and some recommendations

Unemployment insurance is one of the major concerns for both employees and employers. It also plays a key role in balancing economic benefits and stabilizing society, and it is one of the tools for countries to implement social security policies. This paper evaluated the law on unemployment insurance in Vietnam after 15 years of implementation. The paper identified the results achieved as well as the shortcomings and limitations in the process of implementing regulations on unemployment insurance. Based on the paper’s findings, some recommendations were made to strengthen Vietnam’s regulations on unemployment insurance.
