Building corporate social responsibility indicators in the energy sector - The case study of EVNHANOI
Published: July 25, 2026
Abstract
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a concept that has not been comprehensively researched in Vietnam’s electricity industry. This paper is the first literature review that summarizes key CSR indicators for energy companies. This literature review was conducted by reviewing previous research on CSR and widely used CSR indicators of electricity companies around the world. It is expected to serve as a basis for Vietnam Electricity and its member companies to develop their CSR strategies, meet the requirements of the Vietnamese Government, and improve their corporate image. The literature review also evaluates Hanoi Power Corporation's (EVNHANOI) level of response to CSR indicators based on common practices.
