The need to recognize the deprivation of parental rights in Vietnam’s Law on Marriage and Family

Abstract
Deprivation of parental rights is a measure enforced by the state to protect children from acts of their parents that seriously harm their lives, health, and spirit. Although this measure has been regulated in the laws of many countries, it has never been recognized in Vietnamese law. This study analyzed the provisions of some countries on the deprivation of parental rights and pointed out the need to recognize this measure in current Vietnamese law.
