Green logistics in e-commerce from Gen Z customers’ perspective in the context of Net Zero 2050

Abstract

This study examines the effects of green logistics on Vietnamese Generation Z (Gen Z) consumers’ intention to continue shopping online in the context of Net Zero 2050. Perceived green value is examined as a mediating variable, while Net Zero 2050 awareness is considered a moderator. The findings show that green packaging, green delivery, and green reverse logistics all positively affect perceived green value, which subsequently strengthens continuance intention. Net Zero 2050 awareness has a positive direct effect on continuance intention but does not significantly alter the mediated relationship through perceived green value. The findings suggest that e-commerce businesses should translate environmental commitments into practical, credible, and value-creating logistics experiences that customers can directly perceive and appreciate.
