Abstract
This study examines the current state of circular economy implementation among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam’s manufacturing sector amid deepening international integration and growing pressure to reduce emissions. Drawing on a synthesis of academic literature, policy reports, and enterprise-level practices, the study shows that SMEs have begun to adopt circular activities such as energy conservation, material reuse, and waste reduction. However, implementation remains fragmented, with limited value-chain linkages and an underdeveloped circular ecosystem. The article further offers policy implications for advancing circular economy adoption among SMEs, thereby strengthening enterprise competitiveness and contributing to Vietnam’s sustainable development goals in the coming period.
