Quyền con người là phổ quát theo các tuyên bố chính thức trong khuôn khổ của Liên hợp quốc. Tuy nhiên, tồn tại những khác biệt mang tính đối lập trong hệ tư tưởng phương Đông và phương Tây về vấn đề này. Các quốc gia phương Đông chia sẻ nhiều quan điểm chung khi đối diện với sự xâm nhập của hệ tư tưởng phương Tây về quyền con người. Bài viết nghiên cứu ở một số quốc gia đã có thực hành riêng có giá trị tham khảo tốt trong giáo dục về quyền con người và có thể được tham khảo cho vấn đề tương tự tại Việt Nam.
