Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation are becoming key drivers of profound changes across many sectors, including the accounting profession. AI not only contributes to automating traditional accounting processes but also transforms work organization, information processing methods, and the role of accountants within enterprises. In this context, the demand for accounting human resources has also changed significantly, creating an urgent need to innovate accounting education and training at vocational education institutions. This study focuses on assessing the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the accounting profession, analyzing the requirements for accounting human resources in the context of digital transformation, and examining the current state of accounting training at colleges. The research findings indicate that AI has a strong impact on the accounting profession. Based on these findings, the paper proposes several solutions to innovate accounting education and training, including updating training curricula toward the integration of AI and digital technologies, enhancing the application of accounting software in teaching, improving digital competencies for lecturers, strengthening collaboration between educational institutions and enterprises, and developing students’ soft skills and adaptability to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of the labor market in the context of digital transformation.
