Inter-provincial tourism linkages in the Mekong Delta: A business perspective

Tóm tắt

This study examines the current state of inter-provincial tourism linkages in the Mekong Delta from the perspective of tourism enterprises, which play a central role in product design and tour operations. The findings reveal notable progress, including improved infrastructure and the development of distinctive tourism products; however, the overall effectiveness of regional cooperation remains limited. Key constraints include product overlap, uneven service quality, weak coordination mechanisms, and inadequate information sharing among provinces. In response, the study proposes strengthening product positioning based on local comparative advantages, harmonizing service standards, establishing an effective regional coordination framework, and enhancing human resource capacity to promote more sustainable and integrated regional tourism development.
