Nghiên cứu này phát hiện: các sản phẩm/quy trình đổi mới sinh thái và hệ thống đổi mới xanh là những yếu tố quyết định hiệu quả bền vững ở các doanh nghiệp (DN) vừa và nhỏ; ngược lại, công nghệ môi trường và các khía cạnh đổi mới sinh thái của tổ chức không phải là yếu tố quyết định. Những phát hiện trên cho thấy cả yếu tố bên trong và bên ngoài đều ảnh hưởng đến việc thiết kế chiến lược đổi mới sinh thái. Tuy nhiên, sự liên quan của các yếu tố bên ngoài dường như có ý nghĩa hơn đối với các DN vừa và nhỏ ở Gia Lai. Nghiên cứu cũng thực hiện một cách tiếp cận khác bằng cách khám phá tác động của nó đối với hiệu quả kinh doanh bền vững của các DN vừa và nhỏ.
