The impact of digital transformation on green accounting

Abstract

This study provides an overview of the impact of digital transformation on green accounting in the context of a growing shift toward sustainable economic development. Emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, cloud computing, and blockchain, are significantly enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of accounting information. As sustainability becomes a central priority, the integration of digital technologies into green accounting practices has become increasingly urgent. The study examines the evolving requirements of green accounting in light of these technological advancements and proposes solutions to effectively harness digital transformation. By doing so, it aims to support businesses in meeting their environmental responsibilities and contributing to the development of a green and sustainable economy.
